Abandon Ship! is a first hand account of the day that will live in infamy (December 7, 1941). I felt like I was there as Mr. Davis shared his feelings and retold the events of the tragedy. Later, he explains what it was like to have his ship (USS Helena) torpedoed and sunk during WWII. A very enjoyable read on an important event in American history. This member of "the greatest generation" has certainly lived a remarkable life.
