(More customer reviews)I just received my copy and was somewhat disappointed; while the author made a good effort at compiling lists of recipients, a diproportionate number of them are for Midway and the Philippines, which I believe were included maninly to flesh out the book.
The book is fairly comprehensive although I noted that the 11 Air Corps personnel who received Purple Hearts for merit (not wounds) were not included. Also, all those who received PH's for wounds, are not listed. I acknowledge, though, that it was a diffucult job to find all citations for the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Also, the Bronze Star Medal was described as being awarded for actions also involving aerial flight, which is wrong, but I'm quibbling.
This is a helpful reference for serious students and collectors of US military awards.
